The Grey Willow - Salix cinerea also known as Grey Sallow, is named for it's silky grey hairs that cover the twigs and underside of leaves. Like Goat Willow, the Grey Willow - Salix cinerea is also referred to as Pussy Willow.

Native throughout the British Isles, Grey Willow - Salix cinerea forms a small tree usually less than 10m in height. Very common in wet fenland and marshes. It has red-brown twigs and leaves with stiff hairs below. Makes a pretty garden tree.
