The Nordmann Fir (Abies nordmanniana) is a beautiful green cylindrical pine with wonderful pine cones. Named after Finnish explorer and botanist Alexander von Nordmann who discovered this unknown tree species in the Caucasian Mountains.

Adding a touch of style to any garden or parkland area, the Nordmann Fir is a very popular Christmas tree. Often grown for the Christmas tree market not only for its attractive shape but also for its non-drop needle characteristic.

The current height of these trees is approximately 10-20cm and they can be planted out all year round.

The trees came in time for Christmas. Sadly our perennial Christmas died due to drought. I decided to help the planet and bought 10 small trees to replace our tree and to give one to friends. Everyone thought the idea was so inventive. The small baubles can be replaced year on year and hopefully the co2 capture will increase annually

Christmas trees

The little trees were very well packed and arrived looking green and healthy. They are now in pots and maybe in a year or two we will have our home-grown Christmas trees
