The Small Leaved Lime - Tilia cordata tree is native to limestone areas and chalky soils in England and Wales. The fragrant flowers attract bees in early July.
Small Leaved Lime - Tilia cordata leaves are alternate and 1-3in long they are dark green and shiny on top with orange tufts of hair in vein junctions on the undersides. The stalk is not hairy.
